What will you work on

As a Business Operations Data Engineer for the Enterprise Architecture & Platforms (EAP) domain, you will lead the automation, simplification, and efficiency of reporting within Client’s ecosystem. You will transform complex technical requirements into simple solutions that will impact teams on a global scale. You will support data analysts in enhancing value, producing quality data, and integrating tools & platforms in support of Client’s digital transformation.  You will support evangelizing and promoting a culture of accountability and awareness.

Who will you work with

Within the EAP domain, you will work on the Performance Management & Way of Working team.  We are a collaborative team of data engineers and analysts that work to “Fuel Data Driven Decisions!” One of our primary objectives is providing actionable information to our management teams to help them make informed decisions.  Our analysis covers operational delivery, financial variance, labor resources, and deep insights into cloud spend.  This role is focused on the developing data pipelines for ingesting data sets and working with analysts, engineers, and domain architects to deliver quality data, optimize costs, and automate processes. You will regularly partner with analysts and application development squads, while also supporting the data & metadata needed to produce data driven decision making for Client leadership.

What you bring to Client

  • BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience
  • Proficiency in developing repeatable and efficient data automation to codify and simplify end-to-end processes and methods
  • A passion for problem solving and customer service
  • A passion for automating everything, from leveraging open-source tools to delivering machine learning based forecasts, self-service budgets, and real time spend visibility and much more!
  • A DevOps mindset
  • Senior experience in using & integrating application programming interfaces (APIs)
  • Senior experience scripting using Python, Ruby, SQL
  • Familiarity with Perl, PowerShell, JavaScript
  • Experience with Jira, Aha!, BI/Visualization (DOMO or Tableau) & ETL tools
  • Experience providing chargeback, showback, budgeting and forecasting as core capabilities
  • Experience creating advanced product level visibility that will help drive better business decisions and cost accountability
  • A developmental mindset with the ability to discern patterns, drive efficiencies, and lower total cost of ownership for technology processes and solutions
  • Self-starter with a desire to exceed customer expectations
  • Above average oral and written communication skills
  • Experience working across silos in change-controlled environments
