The Asia Pacific Latin America (APLA) Operations & Logistics team is focused on moving CLIENT’s finished product from factory to consumer in a way that is convenient, cost effective, and sustainable for our consumers.  The Supply Chain Innovation (SCI) team serves as an integration layer between Marketplace Operations (MPO), Logistics and peripheral functions that creates and deploys the strategy, governs the active portfolio of initiatives, measures the performance of the operations and leads cross-functional sustainability.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a Sustainability Expert for the APLA Operations & Logistics Supply Chain Innovation team.  This role is key as Global Operations & Logistics has set aggressive targets across carbon and waste to support Client’s overall ‘Move to Zero’ sustainability strategy and 2025 sustainability targets.  For APLA Operations & Logistics to be successful in achieving our targets, our sustainability efforts must be prioritized against our targets and where gaps exist we must put a strategy in-place to mitigate.  Sustainability information must be elevated, communicated in alignment with business actions, and integrated into decision making.

This role requires an individual with the ability to drive discussions with various stakeholders and to  identify gaps between the current Global Sustainability strategy and APLA Operations & Logistics ability to reach them.It requires an individual with 5+ years of logistics-related sustainability experience who can quickly identify our biggest opportunities and how to achieve them. This individual will need to be comfortable presenting at the executive level.

This individual must be a flexible thinker and an outstanding communicator who is comfortable working cross-functionally and influencing different personalities and perspectives. Analysis needs to be communicated through creative, visually compelling and data-driven storytelling to explain how actions impact performance. This individual must also quickly form professional relationships with colleagues.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

As our Sustainability Expert ofOperations & Logisticsfor APLA, you'll join the SCI team and work together with our Logistics, Marketplace Operations (MPO)and the Global Sustainability partners.  Your key responsibility will be to leverage the Global Sustainability strategy to develop and deploy an APLAversion that can be leveraged across our diverse and high-paced geography that enables us to meet our zero emissions target by 2025.  You will also be responsible for driving the integration of sustainability into APLA Operations & Logistics through performance management, creating a shared sense of accountability and creating a well-defined network operating model.

A typical day or week would include partnering across stakeholder groups – extended cross-functional business partners and sustainability subject matter experts – to understand needs and requirements to drive action and decisions to support meeting our 2025 sustainability targets, our Move to Zero sustainability strategy, and continually evolving sustainability reporting standards and expectations.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • Bachelor's degree, MBA or advanced degree in Sustainability
  • 5+ years of experience in Logistics-related Sustainability
  • Additional experience in Logistics, Marketplace Operations, business development, corporate strategic planning, management consulting, or related fields is preferred
  • Clear understanding of product flows in the supply chain
  • Strategic Framing, Scoping and Problem Solving: Problem structuring and strategic problem-solving skills; Demonstrated ability to complete quantitative and qualitative analysis ofsustainability models; Proven ability to conduct and/or analyze research related to consumers, industries and competitors
  • Analytically strong, detail oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Experience in translation of business goals into quantitative metrics and reporting
  • Interpersonal/Influence: Experience with presenting and influencing senior leadership through excellent interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence (EQ)
  • Ability to explain complex topics in a visually engaging and compelling manner to a variety of audiences
  • Strong relationship-building, facilitation, and influencing skills; ability to create trust among those with diverse personal styles
  • Proven track record of being results-oriented with demonstrated ability to achieve aggressive goals
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects at once 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
